I hope everybody has been keeping busy, and enjoying the "summer" weather because before we know it, fall will be here! I can't believe there isn't very much left of August! Geez where did summer go!? My summer has been super busy, but I have loved every second of it!
Recap of what I have been up to since my last entry:
I have been writing lots! So much inspiration around me! August is a very sad month for me, but it has also been bringing lots of joy into my life as well. This month marks 3 years my father being gone-brings tears to my eyes everytime I think of it! (tearing up as we speak). He definately has left a big void in my life. It makes it real hard sometimes, but it also gives me that extra push forward in everything I do/want because he was a go-getter and he taught me to be the same. Chase your dreams and don't let anybody or anything get in your way of making it happen!! Also marks 1 year (Aug 19) of a dear family friend of ours that passed away as well. Think of him lots, and pray for his family & friends. I know he is looking down on each and everyone of them!! On the positive side- I am proud to announce that my brother Dave & his gf Jacquie are the proud parents of another girl- Abagail Victoria Morrison born Aug 20th! I was able to meet my "new" neice last Saturday, and boy let me tell you she is PERFECT! I did not want to let go of her....so precious! Children truly are God's gift!! The 22nd marked my neice Adara's 1st birthday as well! They grow up too fast I tell ya!!
I have recently taken up a new hobby...Guns! Morgan finally got his gun license in the mail and that weekend he was gone and baught his first gun. That Sunday we spent the day Skeet Shootin and Target Shootin! I freakin loved it! Never even thought, that might be something I was interested in, but once I tried it-I can't get enough. Now Morgan surprised me with my own 22 this past weekend, its camo and pink!! So fantastic, I was thrilled!! Sunday we made a trip to Bass Pro and I baught myself a scope, gun case, etc. - I am ready to get right into it! Probably will end up goin to get my own license so than I as well can own my own guns.
I haven't had much time at all to get out on my dirt bike-but I was able to make it to moto-cross in Walton when it was taking place! I could sit there all day and watch! Love watching it and taking it all in so when I go out next I can try some of it and perfect my skill as well!
This weekend will involve me paying a visit to my father, and remembering only the positive! I recently wrote a song for my dad, and it is currently my favorite tune so far out of the ones I have wrote to date. Definately one I am hoping to record when I get back into the studio later this year!
Sunday is Settlers Creek BBQ which I will be attending! Looking forward to that!
Well until next time, I hope you guys have a fantastic remainder of August & and an even better Labor Day weekend!! Almost back to school time :)
Thought for the day :
Always drink upstream from the herd

July 2010
Good Morning Everyboy!!
I hope you all are doing great, and living each day to the fullest! I certainly have been. July is always a CRAZY month for me, and it most definately has been non-stop.
Another year of the Holstein Rodeo has came and gone! It was another fabulous year and an even bigger crowd...it is always growing every year! I performed Saturday, July 10th-alongside Jo Hikk and Emerson Drive. It was a great time, and it was fantastic to meet a bunch of fans following my performance in the merch tent! I also competed that weekend in Friday Slack and Sunday Show, Boudreau and I had two great runs, I was very happy :) Last weekend Morgan and I had a packed full agenda. For instance- on Saturday I was up at the farm first thing in the morning getting one last practise run in before I competed on Sunday. Morgan met me at the farm and we attended a close friend of mines wedding, went back to the farm and hooked up my trailer and loaded my horse and we headed back to our home. We than had a friends BBQ to attend, went home and changed and headed to Mount Forest for the fabulous Fireworks Festival...if you have not been- I highly reccommend you make a point to go next year, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Followed by heading back to our home town to attend a good friend of ours Buck and Doe (I am also singing at their wedding). Sunday, momma and I headed to Kitchener for the rodeo where Boudreau and I had yet another great run!! Lastnight, I had a great writing session with my good friend Luke Rogerson! We wrote a really fun duet, which I know everybody will love!! Especially all you dancers, nice fun upbeat tempo! Tomorrow Morgan and I will be attending another wedding (it tis the season)-we are very excited for this as again it is close friends of ours, and we are grateful that we can witness their big day!! Next week I will be getting together with another good friend of mine Scotty Kipfer to co-write another great tune, very excited about this session as this will be our "first time" writing together, but I know it will be great! I am hoping to get into the studio some time this fall and start laying down a bunch of my new stuff in hopes of releasing something for you all this coming spring. The boys and I have a lot of exciting plans underway for 2011-so stay tuned!!
An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the plam of His hand.
Take care everybody, and we will chat again in a couple weeks! Enjoy everyday, and always remember to Smile !!

June 2010
Hey!!
I hope that everybody is enjoying the "official" beginning of summer. The weather has been fantastic here in Ontario. Despite today being a little gloomy out.
In a nut shell, my life has been Craaazzzy busy. haha So much going on, hardly have a chance to sit back and enjoy nature and a nice cold drink lately! I started the month off with a *bang*-by attending the Sugarland concert at the JLC in London Ontario. I was very fortunate enough to also get "soundcheck party" passes and enjoy their sound check, up close and personal. The evening was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and loved taking it all in with all my girls, including my momma!! Following this amazing night, was a fun packed weekend spent with great friends - it was the Buck & Doe for my good friends Scotty & Ashley who are getting hitched this fall and I was asked to be apart of their wedding party!! It was a long weekend busting our tushies off, but alot of fun!! Music wise, things have been going soo smoothly! Weekly, I still get together with the boys and we have finally started laying down the very rough demos of my tunes so we can start working on them in depth this fall!! Soo excited-and soo happy with what we have been creating!! I hope you all are as stoked as I am when I can release it for you all to hear! :) Last week I was down in Toronto and was fitted for my in ear monitors-exciting! haha you guys probably don't think so, but I am SUPER excited! I also recorded an "international country" tune with a great artsit Arimik while I was down there for the day!! Very thrilled to hear the final project and hopefully you guys all enjoy! Currently I have been riding lots, getting Boudreau (my horse) and I in shape for our rodeo season fast approaching!! Everything has been going fabulous and I think we are well on our way, and am excited to get back out there in the competition arena! Always a blast!! This weekend I will be singing at a private function, a wedding for good family friends of ours! Always have loved weddings, so many great emotions floating around in the air, and such positive energy!
We are 15 sleeps away from the HOLSTEIN RODEO taking place July 8th-11th!! I hope to see you all out and about...either in front of the stage, or in the stands! I will be performing July 10th...with Emmerson Drive!! I hope you all have a fabulous Canada Day long weekend-next week, enjoy it with family and friends and make sure to have lots of fun & laughs!! Hope to see you all soon!
The only journey is the journey within....

MAY 2010
Hey Everybody!!
I hope you all are doing well! The weather we are having right now is soo fantastic, it is like Florida out there, I'm lovin it!!
Recap of April:
It consisted of 3 close friends Buck & Does, all were a fantastic time!! I had alot of fun, and enjoyed being able to support the soon to be newly weds!! 5 birthdays took place, including my significant other-Morgan! The 26th of April marked 14 years of my younger brother Colton being gone!! I spent the day remembering all of the good stuff, and picturing how life would be different with him still around. Once a week the "new band" and I have been getting together to either rehearse or write some new tunes!! So far sooo good :) I am having alot of fun with this new project and hoping great things to come from it. Update with the songwriting, it is going awesome!! It is nuts, once I opened that door, my hand has been non stop writing!! So much stuff has happened in my life, which gives me soo much to write about! I am hoping to get into the studio by fall and record some stuff and hopefully post it on the website for all of you to hear! The writing end has definatly made me look in what direction I want to head career wise, and made my voice and stage presence even more my own. There is no turning back now, and all I can go is "up" from here!!
May- so far has been nuts, between music, working, and just getting our home and everything ready for summer. Now I am focusing on where to board my horse so I can get him and myself ready and in shape for rodeo season, as it will be here sooner than I can blink an eye. I hope you all can make it out either to a show or rodeo and say "hi"! Next stop for me, is the HOLSTEIN RODEO which I will be performing at July 10th with Emerson Drive! If you haven't gotten your tickets already for this event, I would highly reccommend you do as they are selling fast!! For more info regarding the rodeo, check out www.holsteinrodeo.com. I am hoping to be competing as well, so if you can't catch me on stage hopefully you will be able to see me in the arena :)
I hope you all had a fabulous May 2-4 weekend, and enjoy this sunshine :)

April 2010
Hey Everybody!!
If you reside in Ontario you can agree with me when I say we have been getting spoiled with this summer like weather this Spring. OMG 26 today, loving it :) Even though I have to enjoy it thru a window.
March was a very busy month with birthdays and such. Including my 22nd birthday and 2 year anniversary with Morgan :) Also my younger brother Colton (RIP) would have turned 21 on the 21st of March-we definately all had him in our memories that day and sent him birthday wishes and love above.
I was finally able to nail down some writing dates, and have got the ball rolling in that department!! One song in particular is my favourite- "Infinity Road"! Cool tune, I am very excited to get some more great songs written and then get in the studio ASAP to record them :) It is a very neat to see a song take shape that you didn't think was possible. I have co-written with some great people so far and am looking forward to future sessions.
I also have created a band with a close friend of mine consisting of a young group of guys. We have started this project and are excited to see where it goes. I will make sure to keep you up to date on the happenings.
On a fun note, I was able to get my dirt bike out for the first rip of 2010 a couple of weekends ago. It was fantastic to be back riding again!! I absolutely loved every minute of it!! BRRAAAP!!
Between writing, creating a new band, birthdays and the Buck and Doe season has hit, I have been non stop trying to keep up with everything and everybody! I hope to see you out this year at my shows or at a rodeo. Don't be afraid to come up and introduce yourself either, I love meeting new people! May 8th-Cowboys in London, ON-mark it on the calendar-I would love to see you come out for a huge party night! Make sure to bring your dancing shoes cause the energy is non-stop!!
Until next time, keep smiling and enjoy the music all around us!!
